We have placed constellations in heaven and have beautified it for beholders, 16 and guarded them from every accursed Satan 17 excepting such as listens by stealth -- and he is pursued by a manifest flame. 18 And the earth We spread out, and placed therein firm mountains, and caused to grow therein all kinds of things in due proportion. 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 And there is not of aught but with Us are the treasures thereof, and We send it not down save in a measure known 21 And We send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores. 22 And verily, it is We Who give life, and Who give death: it is We Who remain inheritors (after all else passes away). 23 And We have already known the preceding [generations] among you, and We have already known the later [ones to come]. 24 Your Lord will resurrect them all; He is All-wise and All-knowing. 25
