T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 but only as an exhortation for him who fears God; 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18 The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
