The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
