Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 Revelation of this Book, whereof there is no doubt, is from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Or do they say, 'He has forged it'? Say: 'Not so; it is the truth from thy Lord that thou mayest warn a people to whom no warner came before thee, that haply so they may be guided. 3 God is the one who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days, then He established His dominion over the Throne. No one besides Him is your guardian or intercessor. Will you then not take heed? 4 He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count. 5 That is He, the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 6 Who made all things good which He created, and He began the creation of man from clay; 7 then He made his offspring from a clot of weak water (semen). 8 then He gave it proper shape and blew His spirit in it. He made ears, eyes and hearts for you, but you give Him very little thanks. 9 They have said, "How can we be brought to life again after we have been lost in the earth?" In fact, they have no faith in the Day of Judgment 10 ۞ Say thou: the angel of death who is set over you shall cause you to die, thereafter unto your Lord ye shall be returned. 11
