Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
