Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed time? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
