The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
