Al-Hijjr 3 of 6
We have created the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay 26 And created the jinn before him, from smokeless fire. 27 And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man (Adam) from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. 28 When it is properly shaped and I have blown My Spirit into it, you should then bow down in prostration". 29 Therefore all the angels, each and every one of them, fell prostrate. 30 Except Iblis. He refused to bow with the adorers. 31 The Lord inquired: "Iblis! What is the matter with you that you did not join those who prostrated?" 32 He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud." 33 [Allah] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled. 34 and [My] rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 35 He said: My Lord! then respite me till the time when they are raised. 36 Allah said: "For sure you are granted respite 37 "Till the Day of the Time appointed." 38 He said: my Lord! because Thou hast led me to err I will surely make things fairseeming unto them on the earth and will surely seduce them all: 39 Except Thy servants from among them, the devoted ones. 40 Said He: "This is, with Me, a straight way: 41 over My servants thou shalt have no authority, except those that follow thee, 42 being perverse; Gehenna shall be their promised land all together. 43 with seven gates leading into it, each gate receiving its allotted share of sinners. 44

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
