The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 you pay attention 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
