The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Recite thou: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweening 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
