The unbelievers say: 'When we and our fathers are turned to dust, shall we be brought forth? 67 We and our fathers were promised this before; these are but old stories." 68 Say: "Travel in the land and see how (bad) was the end of sinners." 69 And grieve thou not over them nor be straitened because of that which they plot. 70 And they (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) say: "When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if you are truthful?" 71 Say: "It may be that some of the events which ye wish to hasten on may be (close) in your pursuit!" 72 Surely thy Lord is bountiful to men; but most of them are not thankful. 73 And verily thine Lord knoweth whatsoever their breasts conceal and whatsoever they make known. 74 And all the hidden secrets of the heavens and the earth are (written) in a clear Book. (The Preserved Tablet) 75 Indeed, this Qur'an relates to the Children of Israel most of that over which they disagree. 76 it is a guidance, and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Surely thy Lord will decide between them by His Judgment; He is the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 78 Trust in God for you follow the manifest truth. 79 Surely you cannot make the dead hear you, nor can you make the deaf hear your call if they turn back in flight, 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ Now, [as for the deaf and blind of heart -] when the word [of truth] stands revealed against them, We shall bring forth unto them out of the earth a creature, which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our messages. 82
