Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble scribes, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
