Yet man says: "When I am dead, will I come to life again?" 66 Will not man remember that We created him aforetime, when he was nothing? 67 By your Lord, We will bring them back to life with satan and gather them around hell in large groups. 68 Then We shall pluck forth from every party whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the All-merciful; 69 Then, verily, We know best those who are most worthy of being burnt therein. 70 And there is not one of you but shall come to it; this is an unavoidable decree of your Lord. 71 But We shall save those who guarded against evil, and We shall leave the wrong-doers therein, (humbled) to their knees. 72 And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Which of the two parties (yours or ours) is better in position, and more imposing as an army? 73 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance? 74 (Muhammad), tell them, "The Beneficent God gives respite to those who have gone astray only until they face the torment with which they were threatened or to the Day of Judgment. Then they will find out who will have the most miserable place and the weakest forces. 75 And Allah increases in guidance those who walk aright [true believers in the Oneness of Allah who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden), and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. And the righteous good deeds that last, are better with your Lord, for reward and better for resort. 76 Have you seen him who rejected Our signs and said: "Surely I shall continue to be favoured with riches and children." 77 Has he obtained knowledge of the Unseen, or has he taken a covenant with the Most Compassionate Lord? 78 By no means! We shall write down all what he says; and We shall greatly prolong his chastisement, 79 And We will inherit him [in] what he mentions, and he will come to Us alone. 80 For [such as] these have taken to worshipping deities other than God, hoping that they would be a [source of] strength for them. 81 Nay, but they will deny their worship of them, and become opponents unto them. 82
