Hallowed is He who, if it be His will, shall give thee something better than that [whereof they speak] - gardens through which running waters flow - and shall assign to thee mansions [of bliss in the life to come]. 10 But they reject the hour, and We have prepared a burning fire for him who rejects the hour. 11 When it sees them from a place far off, they will hear its fury and its ranging sigh. 12 And when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction. 13 Exclaim not today for one destruction, but exclaim for many destructions. 14 (Muhammad), ask them, "Is what you want better or the eternal garden promised to the pious ones as their reward and dwelling? 15 Living there for ever, they shall find in it all that they desire. That is a promise binding upon your Lord, and to be asked of Him. 16 On the Day when He gathers them with all that they worship, other than Allah, He will say: 'Was it you who misled My worshipers, or did they themselves go astray' 17 They will answer: "Limitless art Thou in Thy glory! It was inconceivable for us to take for our masters anyone but Thyself! But [as for them] Thou didst allow them and their forefathers to enjoy [the pleasures of] life to such an extent that they forgot all remembrance [of Thee]: for they were people devoid of all good." 18 Thus will your gods deny alI that you are professing today. Then you shall neither be able to repel your punishment nor shall get any help from anywhere; and whoso is guilty. of iniquity'' among you, We shall make him taste a severe torment. 19 And We have not sent before thee any of the sent ones but verily they ate food and walked about in the market places. And We have made some of you unto some others a temptation; will ye have patience? And thy Lord is ever a Beholder. 20
