۞ And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. 52 Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners, 53 (Saying): "These (Israelites) are but a small band, 54 "And verily, they have done what has enraged us; 55 we are a large and watchful force." 56 So, We expelled them from gardens and springs, 57 their treasures and a noble station. 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 and when the groups came face to face, the companions of Moses cried out: "We are overtaken!" 61 Moses replied: "By no means. My Lord is with me. He will show me the way." 62 Thereupon We inspired Moses thus: Strike the sea with thy staff!" - whereupon it parted, and each part appeared like a mountain vast. 63 In the meantime We made the others approach that place. 64 We delivered Moses and all who were with him; 65 Then drowned the others. 66 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 67 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
