3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
