So will he whose bosom Allah has opened up for Islam – he is therefore upon a light from his Lord – ever be equal to one who is stone hearted? Therefore ruin is for those whose hearts are hardened towards the remembrance of Allah; they are in open error. 22 Allah hath revealed the most excellent discourse, a Book consimilar oft-repeated, whereat trembleth the skins of these who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts soften at the remembrance of Allah. This is Allah's guidance, wherewith He guideth whomsoever He will. And whomsoever Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide. 23 Is he then, who will strike his face against the awful doom upon the Day of Resurrection (as he who doeth right)? And it will be said unto the wrong-doers: Taste what ye used to earn. 24 Those that were before them cried lies, then the chastisement came upon them from whence they were not aware; 25 God gave them a taste of humiliation in the life of this world, but the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew it. 26 And certainly We have set forth to men in this Quran similitudes of every sort that they may mind. 27 A Lecture in Arabic, containing no crookedness, that haply they may ward off (evil). 28 Allah puts forth a similitude: a (slave) man belonging to many partners (like those who worship others along with Allah) disputing with one another, and a (slave) man belonging entirely to one master, (like those who worship Allah Alone). Are those two equal in comparison? All the praises and thanks be to Allah! But most of them know not. 29 Lo! thou wilt die, and lo! they will die; 30 then, on the Day of Resurrection, you shall dispute before your Lord. 31
