The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
OH, the sudden calamity! 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 And what shall teach thee what is the Clatterer? 3 [It is] a Day when mankind shall be like scattered moths 4 and the mountains will be like fluffy tufts of wool.... 5 Then as for him whose balances are heavy, 6 He shall be in a life well-pleasing. 7 But as for him whose scales are light, 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what will make you know what it is? 10 It is a burning Fire. 11
