Thamud denied the messengers 141 When their brother Salih (Saleh) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 142 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 143 so fear you God, and obey you me.' 144 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 145 Will ye be left secure in that which is here before us, 146 In gardens and fountains, 147 "And corn-fields and date-palms with spathes near breaking (with the weight of fruit)? 148 and that you will [always be able to] hew dwellings out of the mountains with [the same] great skill?" 149 Therefor keep your duty to Allah and obey me, 150 and obey not the commandment of the prodigal 151 those who spread corruption on earth instead of setting things to rights!" 152 They said: "You are only of those bewitched! 153 You are but a human like ourselves. Produce for us a sign, if you are of the truthful' 154 He said: "Here is a she-camel: she has a right of watering, and ye have a right of watering, (severally) on a day appointed. 155 Do not touch her with malice so that punishment of a dreadful day seizes you' 156 They slew the she-camel, but later became regretful 157 and the chastisement seized them. Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 158 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 159

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
