By no means! By the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 A warning to mortals, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 who will be in Paradise 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
