He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity, 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? 4 As for him who considers himself free from need (of you), 5 to a rich man, 6 And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 And hath fear, 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; 11 (and whoso wills, shall remember it) 12 Inscribed in Writs honoured, 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Noble and dutiful. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure, 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 then, when He wills, He raises him. 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 How We pour water in showers 25 and cleaved the earth, cleaving it asunder; 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 And grapes and vegetables 28 And olives and date palms, 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 And fruit and grass - 31 (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 The day on which a man shall fly from his brother, 34 And from his mother and father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 laughing, rejoicing at glad tidings. 39 but others will be gloomy 40 and veiled with darkness. 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
