Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Illustrious scribes 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
