The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 covered down upon them, 8 in columns outstretched. 9
