And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed it would have been different. 199 Thus do We cause unbelief to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do." 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the Satans come down? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 Who listens to you; but most of them are liars. 223 And the astray follow the poets. 224 Do you not see how they wander aimlessly in every valley, 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
