Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
