Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known extent. 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
