Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
