Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 That they would be helped, 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
