Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 and the severally severing 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead. 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
