The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is sundered. 1 And it hearkeneth to its Lord, and is duteous. 2 when the earth flattens out, 3 And shall cast forth that which is therein, and shall become empty. 4 And obeys its Lord and it must. 5 O man! surely you must strive (to attain) to your Lord, a hard striving until you meet Him. 6 Then whoso is given his account in his right hand 7 He shall be reckoned with by an easy reckoning, 8 and shall return to his people joyfully. 9 But he who is given his Book from behind his back 10 He will invoke (his) destruction, 11 And enter into burning fire. 12 Verily he was among his people joyous. 13 He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah). 14 Yes indeed, his Lord was ever watching him. 15 I do not need to swear by the sunset, 16 and by the night and what it enfolds, 17 And the moon when at the full, 18 that you will certainly pass through one stage after another. 19 What then is the matter with them, that they believe not?- 20 And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 Instead, the unbelievers reject it, calling it a lie. 22 And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves. 23 Therefore give them the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 24 except for those who believe and do good deeds. Theirs shall be an unending reward. 25
