And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)]. 41 Who denied Our revelations, every one. Therefore We grasped them with the grasp of the Mighty, the Powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 [Yet] the hosts [of those who deny the truth] shall be routed, and they shall turn their backs [in flight]! 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 Our commandment is but one word, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have indeed destroyed your kind, so is there one who would ponder? 51 And everything they did is in written records. 52 All things small or great have been written down. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 At the still centre in the proximity of the King all-powerful. 55
