Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
