He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 when the blind came to him. 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 Or that he may accept advice, so the advice may benefit him. 4 As for he who thinks himself without need, 5 to him thou attendest 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 And to him who came to you eagerly 8 and who has fear of God, 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 Assuredly this is a reminder 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 In honored books, 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Honourable and Virtuous. 16 May man be slain how ungrateful he is! 17 Of what substance God created him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 Then He eased the way for him; 20 Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 Not one he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 We let the rain pour down in torrents 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 and therein made the grains to grow 27 And grapes and vegetables 28 and olives, and palms, 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 And fruits and grass, 31 for you and for your herds to delight in. 32 And when the Blast shall sound, 33 On the Day a man will flee from his brother 34 And his mother and his father 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others. 37 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 Dust shall cover them 41 Those! they are the infidels, the ungodly. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
