The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
