Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known extent. 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
