The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And those who govern the event, 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 And the second followeth it, 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 and hastily turned away, 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 you pay attention 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
