The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 Who guard their sex 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 to their promise, 9 These are the heirs 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
