And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
