Have you seen the one who turned away 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
