The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Of what ask they? 1 About the awesome tidings [of resurrection] 2 concerning which they are in disagreement! 3 But they will soon come to know. 4 And once again: Nay, but in time they will come to understand! 5 Have We not made the earth an expanse, 6 and the mountains as pegs? 7 And We have created you in pairs, 8 And We made your sleep to be rest (to you), 9 And We made the night to be a covering, 10 And We have made the day for seeking livelihood. 11 And built seven strong roofs above you. 12 And have kept a very bright lamp in it. 13 and have sent down from the clouds, pouring rain 14 so that We may thereby bring forth grain and vegetation, 15 And gardens of thick growth. 16 Surely, the Day of Judgement has an appointed time. 17 the Day that the Horn is blown, and you shall come in crowds 18 The heavens will have openings like doors. 19 And the mountains shall be moved away from their places and they will be as if they were a mirage. 20 Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait 21 A home for the rebellious. 22 Where they will remain for aeons, 23 Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink, 24 Except boiling water and benumbing cold: 25 a meet requital [for their sins]! 26 Indeed, they did not hope for a Reckoning, 27 And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial. 28 And everything We have recorded in a book. 29 (They will be told), "Suffer, We shall only increase the torment for you". 30

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
