But, for the cautious a place of prosperity, 31 Gardens enclosed and vineyards, 32 And full-breasted [companions] of equal age 33 And a pure cup. 34 They shall not hear therein any vain words nor lying. 35 Recompense from thy Lord, a gift, (amply) sufficient, 36 Lord of the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, the All-merciful of whom they have no power to speak. 37 On that Day, when the Spirit (Gabriel) and the angels stand in ranks they shall not speak, except he to whom the Merciful has given permission, and says what is right. 38 That will be the Day of Ultimate Truth: whoever wills, then, let him take the path that leads towards his Sustainer! 39 We have warned you of a chastisement which is near at hand, on the Day when man shall [clearly] see what his hands have sent ahead, and when he who has denied the truth shall say, "Oh, would that I were dust!" 40
