The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Nay, but this [divine writ which they reject] is a discourse sublime, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
