1/2 Hizb 35

'O Messengers, eat of the good things and do righteousness; surely I know the things you do. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But people later cut up their religion into bits, each group rejoicing in what they have. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 We are hastening to them of good things? Nay, they do not perceive. 56 Only those who are, out of fear of Him, humble before their Lord, 57 And those who in the signs of their Lord do believe. 58 who consider nothing equal to their Lord, 59 who give, whatever they give in charity, with their hearts trembling at the thought that they are destined to return to their Lord; 60 It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. 61 And [withal.] We do not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear: for with Us is a record that speaks the truth [about what men do and can do]; and none shall be wronged. 62 In fact, the hearts of the unbelievers are in the dark because of their ignorance of real virtue; they act against it. 63 Until when We overtake those who lead easy lives among them with punishment, lo! they cry for succor. 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels 66 “Priding yourself in serving the Sacred Mosque; at night you utter indecent stories in it, while discarding the truth.” 67 Have they not pondered over the word of God? Has something come to them that did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or did they not recognise their apostle, and rejected him? 69 Or do they say: There is madness in him? Nay! he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse from the truth. 70 If truth had followed their whims and desires, heavens and earth and all that lives in them would have been brought to ruin. Rather We have brought them their Reminder. Yet they keep avoiding their Reminder. 71 Or is it that thou askest them for some recompense? But the recompense of thy Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 Assuredly thou art calling them to a straight path; 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ Were We to be merciful to them and remove from them their present afflictions, they would persist in their transgression, blindly wandering on. 75 And assuredly We took hold of them with the torment, yet they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they entreat. 76 until We opened upon them the door of a severe chastisement. Then lo, in this state they become utterly despaired of any good. 77
