No, by the moon! 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 about the guilty ones: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
