And lo! it is a revelation of the Lord of the Worlds, 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this [message] to pass [unheeded] through the hearts of those who are lost in sin: 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 It was not the devils who brought down the Quran: 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
