The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
God the Almighty always says the truth.
