The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

OH, the sudden calamity! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 And what do you know what the Calamity is? 3 A day wherein mankind will be as thickly-scattered moths 4 And the mountains will be like carded wool, 5 Then he whose deeds weigh heavy in the Balance 6 will live a pleasant life, 7 But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- 8 His refuge will be an abyss. 9 What shall let you know what the Plunging is? 10 It is a burning Fire. 11
