The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In extended columns. 9
