And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 Surely, it is foretold in the ancient scriptures. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 And then there came to them that which they were promised? 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believed and did good deeds, and profusely remembered Allah, and took revenge after they had been wronged*; and soon the unjust will come to know upon which side they will be overturned**. (* The Muslim poets who praise Allah and the Prophet. ** The disbelievers will be punished.) 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
