But nay, I swear by all that you can see 38 And by oath of those you do not see. 39 This Qur’an is the speech of Allah with a gracious Noble Messenger. 40 It is not the speech of a poet (little do you believe) 41 Nor the word of a soothsayer; little is it that you mind. 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand 45 And We should certainly then cut off the artery of his heart: 46 and none of you could have held Us off from him. 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 We certainly know that some of you have rejected it 49 And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers. 50 And verily it is the truth of assured certainty. 51 Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 52
